Information About Ross - Skerries tutor

Personal Description:

I am a diligent, hardworking and most importantly, enthusiastic primary school teacher. I am currently teaching 6th class. I graduated from Hibernia College in 2015 with a 2:1, having previously studied English, philosophy and Gaeilge in UCD. I have taught at all primary school levels, with most of my experience coming at the senior end of the school. I believe in innovative ways of teaching, keeping the child interested and involved in the learning experience. Teaching is my passion and is a career in which I take an immense pride in.

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently teaching at primary school level as a 6th class teacher. I have also worked at all other levels in the school, including learning support. I have experience of both one to one and group teaching, having tutored before. I also have experience teaching children with special learning needs, in both literacy and numeracy.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach is to first understand the level the child is working at and their potential during our first meeting. This will help me to decide the next step in their learning. By pinpointing their strong and weak areas, I will allow the child to work on both areas as a confidence booster and to practice on the weaker aspects of a subject. This will include monthly testing (after every 4-5 hours), the results of which I will share with both the child and their parents, allowing us to judge their progress and decide upon the next steps.
