I have no issue with Mireille at all. The issue as such is that I wanted face to face French tuition but at the moment she is only offering tuition by Skype. I would hope to hear from her when she restarts doing face to face tuition.

OK, a 4 but its early days. She is doing a good job as witnessed by the fact I am to carry on lessons with her into the New Year! We need more time working together to fully enjoy our time as tutor and pupil. Have said that I would prefer face to face tuition as you can ' take on things more' in that type of situation which she understands. She tolerates my sense of humour which is a plus and her recommendation on various apps was welcomed.

I have now had a few lessons with Emily though not as regular as I would have liked but that has been solely down to me. Based on the lessons I have had so far, I can honestly say that I am thoroughly enjoying them. Currently there is a mix of grammar and chat, the former being done to enable the latter with the ultimate goal of focusing on conversation. However, Emily insists on getting the basics right (I hate French verb conjugation!) and I have to say I agree. Hard work for an old 'duffer' like me though :-) The key though is that I am making progress which is motivational in itself and which is down to Emily's tuiton. Would I recommend Emily to other?. Yes, with pleasure. Chris Wall
