Personal Description:
I am a highly experienced professional double bassist and composer, with conservatoire degrees in both Classical and Jazz music, on double bass, bass guitar, and drums. I also work extensively with pop and rock artists, and record music for film/TV.

Tutoring Experience:
15+ years private teaching experience.
Group teaching - high school jazz rhythm section workshops, and orchestral double bass sectionals.
Tutoring Approach:
Different genres compliment and inform one another, so I like to teach students to learn from musical disciplines outside of their regular focus - especially introducing jazz students to aspects of classical performance, and classical students to improvisation.
I also encourage advanced students to learn about composition and recording technology alongside their instrumental performance studies, as musicians today will always benefit from a well-rounded skill set!
