Sam’s an excellent teacher, always attentive and gentle in approach but also affirming good technique and set up. He was more than happy to work around my shoulder issues to find a playing position I was comfortable with. I would strongly recommend Sam to anyone looking to learn either lute or guitar, whether they’re entirely new or have been playing a long time.

His focus on the fundamentals of the trumpet have been hugely beneficial and I know will be invaluable, in future, in allowing me to play a wide variety of repertoire. The many new and interesting techniques and exercises Ondrej has provided, some of which I have never come across with other teachers, have made me think differently about the trumpet and how I play. Since starting lessons with Ondrej, I have seen real improvements in my playing on a weekly basis. Most importantly, however, he has helped me enjoy the instrument again.
