I am a German graduate who began teaching German in 1990 for the Goethe Institute and the US Army and Air Force in Germany. I then taught in businesses and colleges in the UK before starting my own business in 2010.
With over 30 years’ experience as a German teacher, I have optimised my own strategy for teaching effectively and concisely. I am an English native so very much understand which areas of the language are difficult to English speakers.
I graduated in German in 1988 and after a couple of years travelling, began working as a German teacher in 1990. I was employed by the Goethe Institute in Germany to tutor American air-force and army personnel and civilians.
Since moving back to Britain in 1996, I have taught business personnel in a number of leading companies, adults in a college setting (Brasshouse Language Centre and Stafford College) and private individuals at home.
I have also led numerous teacher training workshops for language teachers in college and county-wide.
I am an enthusiastic teacher and aim to make every lesson enjoyable and informative. I know it can be daunting learning a new language and I hope to make you feel at ease yet also challenge you in your learning. I use a range of resources, authentic materials and online sites.
