I am a fully qualified Maths teacher and have been at a secondary school in Harpenden for 5 years, and I am now second in Maths at a school in Hemel Hempstead. I teach across the curriculum and to a variety of abilities from KS3 to A Level. My aim to help students progress in the subject and boost their confidence!

Tutoring Experience

I have taught in a secondary school for the last 6 years, specialising in KS3, GCSE and A Level, particularly A Level statistics. I have also taught Level 3 Mathematical Studies for year 12 and 13 and Entry Level Maths and the Algebra Award for year 11s. Over the years I have worked with students of many different abilities.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to create a friendly and supportive environment in which students want to learn and feel confident to discuss Maths. I offer individualised support for students with a wide variety of teaching techniques to support the student's needs. I like to use a lot of examples of mathematics in real life and go through problem solving techniques. I always ensure that I keep the parents up to date of their child's progress.
