I am a qualified primary teacher with over 25 years’ teaching experience in the UK and internationally. My in-depth subject knowledge enables me to plan and deliver personalised learning for every student. I build student agency; engaging, motivating, and ensuring positive outcomes and results for all. My lessons are friendly, enjoyable and help children realise their potential to make improvement. I pride myself on building safe, caring, personalised relationships; giving students confidence to learn from mistakes and make good progress.
My teaching and tutoring experience extends across the primary range from Year 1 through to Year 6 with students from a diverse range of abilities and cultural backgrounds. Alongside my teaching career, I have provided professional 1:1 tutoring to students at international schools where I have worked. I have enjoyed teaching English and mathematics to primary students, helping to extend able students or support those needing additional catch-up. I have extensive experience teaching online gained as a result of my tutoring practice and through online learning in my role as class teacher during school lockdowns.

✨ About My Tutoring Approach
My sessions are fully personalised through consultation with parents, ensuring your child receives targeted and meaningful support. I create a space where students feel confident to speak, explore, and grow.
Using a scaffolded teaching style, I begin with direct instruction and gradually shift toward student-led learning, encouraging independent thinking. Each lesson is shaped around your child’s own experiences to build deeper, real-life understanding. I adapt my approach in real time to meet their unique needs, promoting active participation, new skill development, and revision.
