During my classroom teaching career I have excelled at (and most enjoyed) offering patient 1-to-1 support to students across all ability levels. I vividly remember my school days and pride myself on delivering the guidance and support that I wish I had received back then. Whilst studying theoretical physics at Imperial College London I picked up a lot of skills and ways of thinking that make maths and physics easier to understand and remember, linking concepts together rather than making a list of separate facts and rules to be memorised, and I look forward to helping students see these subjects in a new way!
I have 3 years of classroom teaching experience, including GCSE and A-Level. Throughout my career I have taken every opportunity to support students on a 1-to-1 basis or in small groups, such as intervention for exam classes. I have been privately tutoring for several months.
I use my strong knowledge of physics and maths and a patient approach to help students build a solid foundation of fundamental skills and confidence in their abilities. I tutor using skills learnt across 3 years of classroom teaching experience to have a lasting impact and set students up to work towards the highest possible grade. I ensure students targeting 9s or A*s are comfortably overequipped to achieve this result and are best prepared for the next stage of study at sixth form or university. Above all I aim to help everyone find enjoyment and reward in physics and maths which is a sure path to success! All students will receive guidance and practise in decoding exam questions and applying their skills to them, ensuring each session is a concrete step towards exam success even in Y9/10/12.
