Hello! I support students prepare for GCSE, A Level, ABRSM music theory, or provide coaching ahead of university interviews. I play the piano (studied at Oxford and RNCM) organ, and bassoon, and have classroom and 1:1 teaching experience in music.

Tutoring Experience

After graduating from the University of Oxford I was was a classroom teacher and accompanist in an independent school. I provided 1:1 tutoring to students as they prepared for GCSE and the IB, particularly in extended writing tasks, analysis, and composition. I then led student recruitment both at a college of Oxford University and Oxford Brookes University, supporting prospective students through the university application process, including preparation for entrance interviews. Most recently I completed my Masters at the RNCM, in which I was awarded a distinction.

Tutoring Approach

I am used to students bringing a specific topic or target with which they require further support, from which I devise an appropriate scheme of work to achieve your aim. I have direct experience of coaching students in music history, analysis, fundamental compositional form, orchestration, and would happily provide support in harmony and counterpoint if required.
