I’m passionate about science and its real-world applications, from understanding genetics and drug development to exploring the biochemistry of exercise. I’ve gained hands-on experience through hospital placements, research programs, and academic study, which has deepened my curiosity and taught me the importance of precision, critical thinking, and resilience.

Outside the classroom, I run a national youth initiative, where I mentor others and develop strong communication and leadership skills. I also enjoy combining my love for sport with science by exploring how the body works at a biochemical level.

As a tutor, I aim to make learning engaging, clear, and practical, helping students not only succeed academically but also appreciate the bigger picture of how knowledge connects to the real world. I’m committed to supporting students in building confidence, problem-solving skills, and a genuine love for learning.

Tutoring Experience

I have strong knowledge in both biology and chemistry and a solid understanding of the curriculum and exam requirements for AQA A-level and GCSE and Edexcel GCSE boards. I can explain concepts clearly and provide relevant practice and exam preparation.

I have experience tutoring students in year 11 in biology and chemistry and year 12 for biology, chemistry and PE, helping them improve their understanding, confidence, and exam performance. My previous students have successfully achieved improved grades and greater engagement in the subject.

My teaching style is interactive and student-focused. I aim to make lessons engaging and understandable by breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps. I encourage questions and active participation, adapting my approach to suit the learning style of each student. I structure my lessons with a clear progression: starting with key concepts, reinforcing understanding through examples and exercises, and finishing with a summary and review to ensure retention.
