I am a Double Bass player based in Birmingham, specializing in jazz and improvised music. I am a graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (2015-19) and have been involved in the UK jazz scene for a number of years, both as a bandleader and sideman. Tutoring Experience

Currently an active musician on the UK jazz scene with experience playing abroad (Italy, Spain, Norway, Thailand, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, etc...).
I have recorded many records as a sideman and one as a bandleader, and have studied with a number of influential bassists and musicians.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is centred around developing a solid technical foundation, to give a student the tools they require to play the music they enjoy! This includes strong instrumental technique, ear training and an understanding of functional harmony and how it is used practically.
