Experienced Maths & Statistics tutor with nearly 20 years of teaching and a PhD in Mathematics (University of Wales, UK). A former university professor and now Senior Researcher in mathematical modelling, I combine deep subject knowledge with proven teaching strategies. Tutoring Experience

• Over 20 years of teaching GCE A-Level Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanics and Further Mathematics across all major exam boards (OCR, IB, Edexcel, AQA, WJEC), as well as KS3 and GCSE Mathematics.

• More than 20 years of university teaching experience in Mathematics and Statistics.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching is student-centred, focusing on working through past exam questions, textbook exercises, and tailored problems to match each student’s exam level. Lessons are designed to build confidence first, then progress towards more challenging tasks to maximise potential. Subject knowledge and exam practice are always covered in parallel.

Students are welcome to contact me outside of tutoring hours via Email or WhatsApp for help with problem-solving tasks, and I provide free exam paper marking and feedback as part of my support.

Drawing on my experience as both a former university professor and an industry researcher, I also motivate students by connecting Mathematics to real-world applications in medicine, finance, and engineering. Many of my students find this broad perspective invaluable in shaping their future studies and careers.
