Because of lockdown and home schooling, our daughter struggled to pass her GCSE's and only just scraped through. Now at A Level, our daughter is finding it a little daunting, but Joanne has fully engaged with our daughter, giving her plenty of encouragement. Joanne always has lots of information with a full lesson plan and will go over any points that she doesn't understand. We have only had three sessions so far, but Joanne has already given our daughter more confidence and understanding of the subject. We look forward to building a good tutor/student relationship throughout the course of this year.

Dear Joanne,
We met you at the end of the girls first year of A levels. Due to absent and poor teaching in their Business Studies classes, 2 of my daughters were given grade U and the other one a grade E. The fact that you were going to have to teach them most of year 1 again, and also that they were triplets did not put you off - I am so pleased to say. From the first session you installed a great level of motivation in them, encouraging them that with hard work they could all pass their A level. Every teaching session was well planed and you adapted the lessons and your style to suit them perfectly. You even changed your planned lessons when they did not understand the lessons that they were having this year at college to help them. You made the lessons fun and you always ensured that they all understood what you had taught them before moving on. You made a timetable to ensure they had enough session booked to cover all that they need too and also allowed us to book more sessions before their exams to help with revision. One of my daughters had a period of anxiety attacks and also was unwell for a few sessions - however you were really supportive and spent time with her playing catch up. The girls achieved a B, C and a D - so all improved by at least 2 grades. One of my daughters grade went form a U to a B grade! This would definitely not have been possible without you. You have been a great tutor to work with - really reliable, and so dedicated to giving the most you could to help the girls.
