I'm a British national who was raised in Paris (France).
A qualified multi-linguist (trilingual English, French and Italian), I have nearly twenty years' experience in education, training and communication.
I am also a professionally trained actor who has worked for BBC Radio, and a committed writer.
My teaching experience includes teaching French and Drama to students (at the Collège-Lycée de L'Ermitage, Maisons-Laffitte, France); training CEO's, advertisers, lawyers and bankers of various nationalities in Business English, and offering debating and/or conversation classes, both to groups and individuals.
First and foremost, and whatever the time constraints, I get to know the learner.
This is crucial in devising a needs analysis test which will be used to define strategies for meeting objectives.
I know that teaching is an extraordinarily difficult thing to do well, and I am never one to blame the student, which is why my approach to tutoring will always be defined by, or at least adapted to, the tutee(s) and their requirements and goals.
