I have 20 years of experience across the primary age range and have also enjoyed tutoring for the 11+ / entrance exams at times. My wife is an experienced secondary teacher and tutor, and our shared knowledge has proved invaluable in helping pupils to reach their full potential.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in every year group from Reception to Year 6, and have a wide range of experience including year 6 pre-SATs booster groups. I have been responsible for bringing in the most recent curriculum changes in my most recent school and have also completed my MA, studying how design technology can enhance pupils’ writing.

Tutoring Approach

I use my extensive knowledge of the curriculum to ensure that problems quickly identified, gaps filled and children stretched to their full potential. I ensure that a variety of activities appropriate to the child enables them to keep focussed and to gain the maximum from their lessons.
