Being an easy-going, calm, enthusiastic and positive individual, I get on well with people, of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. When people feel at ease, and barriers are lowered, it is easier for them to assimilate information, andacquire knowledge and new skills. I am married, and we have 3 energetic wee boys. My hobbies include hillwalking, swimming, cycling, karate, running, playing chess, playing the drums and motorcycling.

Tutoring Experience

Having over 30 years experience in tutoring individuals of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, has forged me into an effective, efficient and adept tutor. My students invariably do very well in their exams, and many have gone on to excell in their chosen professions. Additionally, I have also over 20 years experience in working with children and adults with autism, ADHD and dyslexia, and orher related conditions, and can differentiate their lessons accordingly.

Tutoring Approach

With my calm, relaxed approach, I can easily find out what areas my students are struggling in, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and swiftly bring them up to speed. As well as teaching individuals, I can also teach small groups, offer advice on studying and exam techniques, and provide guidance on career choice and subject selection.
