I am a fully qualified KS2/3 English teacher with over 12 years experience. Since gaining my teaching qualification, I have taught in two middle schools and one secondary school in Bedfordshire where I held additional teaching and learning responsibilities including Literacy Across the Curriculum Leader and Head of English.

I am available to support your child with Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 English, Year 6 SATs and 11+ exam preparation. I offer one-to-one tuition at my house or online.

Tutoring Experience

I have spent most of my career teaching KS2/3 English specialising in preparing Year 5 and 6 pupils for their SATs exams. I also have lots of experience with teaching small intervention groups help reach their chronological reading age. I enjoy working with young people to help them achieve their full potential.

Tutoring Approach

I am friendly, patient and enjoy sharing my passion for English with the students I teach. My tuition approach is structured, personalised and professional. I regularly assess each pupil which informs me of their strengths and areas to work on. I pride myself on ensuring that the lessons I plan are tailored for each pupil to meet their individual needs and are engaging and motivating so that students benefit and progress after each learning session.
