I'm a native Mandarin speaker over 30 years. I have 10 years working experience in China. I can teach students at all levels.
My working language was English since I worked for the Canadian Embassy in China. Observing how diplomats and my husband learn Mandarin, I know what problems a native English speaker will encounter during their learning journey. I have tutoring experience since the university in 2010.
My English level has been hugely improved since I moved to the UK in 2022 thanks to the huge amount of immersive learning and listening input. I'm keen to use the same method I improve my English to help people learn and improve their Mandarin, especially on how to avoid translating from/to English in your brain. After a certain period of lessons and practice, ideally tutees can improve their Mandarin through self-learning.
