As a qualified and experienced Maths teacher, I can help you to develop your confidence and skills in order to get the results you need in your GCSE, A-level or other Level 1/2/3 Maths qualification (Year 9 upwards).

I find it very rewarding when I see a “penny drop” – when I am able to help a student who has been struggling with a particular concept to understand it and realise that, actually, it's not as hard as they thought.

Tutoring Experience

Having taught Maths in a variety of schools and colleges since 2003, going up to A-level, since 2017 I have been focusing on private tuition.

I have experience of teaching A-level (AQA and Edexcel) and GCSE (Edexcel, AQA and OCR), and also the Maths element of the Level 3 BTEC in Engineering, as well as a variety of other Level 2 qualifications (Edexcel IGCSE, Functional Maths, Adult Numeracy, Edexcel Award in Number & Measure, QTS Skills Test).

My exam marking experience, with two different boards and from Foundation GCSE up to A-level, means that I have a very good understanding of how answers need to be presented to obtain maximum marks.

Tutoring Approach

All my teaching is online and on a 1-to-1 basis. I use Teams for the video conferencing and Pencil Spaces for the interactive whiteboard.

After one full trial lesson on a PAYG basis, I ask for monthly payment in advance by bank transfer or standing order. I also have a 48-hour cancellation policy.
