Hi, I’m Max — a Durham University Natural Sciences student with an A* in A-Level Maths and an A in Chemistry. I have a passion for making numbers and formulae make sense. I break tricky problems into simple, logical steps and help students build the confidence to tackle any question, from algebra to calculus, organic to inorganic with a smile.

Tutoring Experience

I’ve always loved helping others learn — whether that’s breaking down tricky algebra, explaining historical events, or linking chemistry to real-world examples. Growing up with a teacher for a mum, I’ve learned the value of clear communication and logical thinking, and I bring that to every lesson.

I make sessions interactive, supportive, and focused on building confidence. With experience leading teams, mentoring peers, and achieving ambitious goals (including trekking 1,000 km across the Pyrenees to raise £4,000 for charity), I know how to keep students motivated and on track.
