Tutoring Experience

I have over eight years of experience tutoring English Literature and History at GCSE and A-Level. I have an excellent success rate and my students typically skyrocket from a C/B to an A*. I'm proud to say that 80% of my students have gone on to attend their first choice university.

Tutoring Approach

I am committed to ensuring that my students get the most out of our time together. In our first lesson, I hear from the student to get a sense of what their relationship to the subject is like. It's very important to hear their perspective to evaluate what their strengths and weaknesses are. From there, I create a learning plan tailored to the individual student's needs, which also takes into account their learning style. This can be visual, auditory, verbal, or kinesthetic. The aim is always to achieve the best results possible in the final examination. A bonus I have found is that the student often ends up loving the subject once their understanding and performance improves!

I also offer focused lessons for university admissions, giving guidance on personal statements and Oxbridge examination and interview prep.
