I love working with students to help make Physics and Maths interesting subjects to learn. I am very easy-going and approachable and I aim to make my classes fun and interesting while adapting to each and every student's specific learning needs. As I am in my first year of my PhD at Oxford, I have a pretty flexible time schedule and therefore can accommodate most requests for timings for the online classes. If you are at all interested in arranging a session, or if I can provide you with any more information, I would be delighted to hear from you!
I have 5 years and over 1500 hours of tutoring experience. Throughout this time, I have helped students with maths, all sciences, and university admissions, teaching an age range of 9 to 21-year-olds. Last year, I had a success rate of 75% for Oxbridge offers and also helped many others get into their top-choice universities throughout the UK and the USA. I attained all A* in both GCSEs and A levels and have recently attained a First class classification in my undergraduate and masters studies in engineering at Oxford University. I love teaching and inspiring students through fun and interactive lessons!
My lessons aim to engage the student with the core concepts of the topic that they are learning and to give them a proper understanding of how and why what we are learning is necessary. After these concepts are understood, I tend to run through practice questions. Firstly, setting out an example answer myself and then with each subsequent question, decreasing my input until the student has grasped a full understanding of the topic and the typical questions that come up in the exam. I am happy tutoring students of all ages in school and at any level.
