I am currently the Head of Psychology at an outer London comprehensive school and have taught A-level Psychology for the past 11 years. The majority of my experience involves teaching the AQA specification, but I have also taught CIE and can adapt to other syllabuses also. I have a PGCE in Social Sciences and a Psychology degree from the University of Exeter.
My teaching approach is to first ensure students have grasped the key concepts, terminology and theories that make up their knowledge and understanding for the exam, before embarking on developing application and evaluation skills. I believe exam practice is essential and incorporate this into every lesson. I also adapt my resources and structure of lessons to meet the needs and requests of individual students to ensure they reach their full potential.
