I am a Chemistry and Science Teacher within South Lanarkshire Council. I am 35 years of age.

Tutoring Experience

I have 11 years of experience as a teacher of Chemistry and as a tutor. I tutor one-to-one and in groups across all levels including National 5 Chemistry, Higher Chemistry and Advanced Higher Chemistry.

I mark both exam papers and assignments across all levels for the SQA and can provide tips to ensure that marks are maximised in exams.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor my approach based on the individual needs. I provide a friendly face that young people feel at ease asking for help with questions and explaining concepts. I provide all notes across units along with PowerPoints for whole courses. I then focus on past paper questions closer to the exam to help prepare tutees for the style and level of questions they must answer. I always provide additonal questions as homework and mark these prior to the next session when suitable for the tutee.

I am now accepting bookings for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Tutoring is available over the Summer.
