
Hi, my name is Prash. I am a BSc Economics graduate (with honours) from the University of Sheffield, a distinction holder in a Masters in Finance & Investment from the University of Nottingham, who a recently completed of the most competitive Software Engineering bootcamps in Europe, at General Assembly. I was one of four individuals from my undergraduate degree who won a scholarship as a part of the Erasmus exchange scheme. I love finding the meaning behind numbers, from my undergraduate and master’s degree I have developed strong quantitative skills and an analytical way of approaching problems.
In my professional life, I have worked in London’s financial sector as both an FX Broker and Junior Business consultant, while at the university of Nottingham I acted as a retail sector analyst for the university's £13,000 equity fund. I have excelled as an intern in the 3rd largest insurance broker in the world, played numerous sports at both university and high-school level, participated in a successful Young Enterprise campaign, and I also had volunteering experience as an Oxfam worker. I am an articulate, driven and committed individual who goes above and beyond for his students.
I have experience tutoring in the Midlands area, teaching students of all ages but primarily younger age groups such as KS2 and KS3.
I tailor my teaching approach to every student so they can understand the subject in a clear but comprehensive manner. I am friendly, informative and my tried and tested exam-orientated approach towards teaching has allowed by tutees to thrive on exam day. My ultimate aim is to instil a strong sense of confidence in my students with regards to the subjects they are undertaking. I set regular guided assignments to track help a student's progress and seek to provide feedback to parents after each session.
