I have over a decade of experience teaching Maths at both GCSE and A-Level, and I currently work as an Assistant Headteacher at an outstanding secondary school in Surrey, where I was previously Head of Maths. My classes consistently achieve strong results, with Progress 8 scores for my groups regularly exceeding +1.25. I am also an Edexcel examiner where I mark GCSE papers every summer.
I specialise in working with Year 11 students and have extensive experience teaching across both Higher and Foundation tiers. I’ve supported learners of all abilities, from those building confidence with the basics to those pushing for top grades.
Whether your child is striving for a Grade 4 pass or stretching towards a Grade 9, I tailor each session to meet them where they are and move them forward with clarity and confidence.
I offer both 1:1 and small group sessions, online or in person. Group sessions are available at a discounted rate and are a great way to build motivation and share strategies in a supportive setting. Every session is structured, purposeful, and designed to make progress feel achievable.
I truly believe that ANYONE can succeed at Maths. I combine high expectations with a calm, encouraging style. Whether your child needs to build confidence, push for top grades, or simply feel more in control of their learning, I offer personalised support that gets results, and helps them enjoy the journey.
I spend sessions doing a mixture of topic based work and then exam-style practise to demonstrate to the student the progress they have made. I also use the insight gained as an examiner to guide students through exam technique, common pitfalls, and the strategies that make a real difference under pressure.
