I am a lecturer in Physics at the University of Aberdeen and have been teaching since I began doing my undergraduate degree. I have a PhD in physics.
I have over a decade of teaching experience running lectures, tutorials and lab classes at the University of Aberdeen, where I teach almost half the Physics courses. I also run our summer school and night class programs, teaching all of this material. I have also tutored school students from every year of secondary school, preparing them for exams.
Teaching maths and physics necessarily involves solving problems, so I do a lot of joint problem solving. But it's important to actually learn a subject, not just how to mechanically pass exams, so I also go into the material conceptually as well. Where possible, I also include practical demonstrations of Physics concepts using lab equipment, etc. Towards assessments and exams, the amount of practice questions solved will ramp up.
