I am a writer and actor as well as an experienced tutor. I am friendly and passionate about making students feel confident in their abilities and enthusiastic about their subjects. I also have experience working within mental health activism for young people and am keen to make daunting exams of assignments feel more manageable while uplifting my students.
I continue to work professionally as an actor, writer, filmmaker and charitable activist alongside my tutoring.
I have worked with students from year 4 up to GCSE and A Level, and my students have had great results, getting into top secondary schools and succeeding in their exams. I have experience working with students on English, Creative Writing, History, Drama and LAMDA exams/audition preparation, as well as revision and exam skills and essay technique. I have experience working with students who are struggling with their mental health and helping them prepare for and feel confident in their work.
My students have won highly-coveted places at top schools after 11+, and received top grades (all between 7-9) in GCSEs.
My approach is above all, compassionate. I am a rigorous worker and will make sure my students are prepared in every way, but I also want them to be kind to themselves. I create a relaxed, friendly environment and want to make learning fun, so my students become passionate about their subjects as well as confident in their own abilities. I believe that the ability to succeed is within everyone, and I am sensitive to the pressures school can provide- I want my lessons to be a safe space where we can have fun learning.
