I am a very experienced teacher of both Spanish and French and also English to speakers of other languages (ESOL) and have taught for the last 30 years at a private school in Edinburgh. I am now retired and so am very flexible in terms of my availability. I have also previously taught abroad and have a lot of experience of private tutoring. I am used to preparing students for public exams in a wide range of curricula and have had good results. My wife is a French native speaker and also a teacher.
Tutoring Experience
I have taught for the last 30 years at a private school in Edinburgh and previously taught abroad. I have a lot of experience of both school teaching and private tutoring and exam preparation for SQA exams up to university level.
I have a lot of experience of preparing students for SQA exams and also A levels and GCSE.
Tutoring Approach
I am quick to assess a student's needs and to develop my approach accordingly. I have access to a wide range of materials and resources and can also give tuition on line, for example via Google Talk, FaceTime, WhatsApp, Zoom or Skype.
