Online Maths Lessons

I am an enthusiastic sixth form student and quick learner, dedicated to achieving excellence in my work. I am studying Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths at Advanced Level, and aspire to work in the fields of science and maths. Outside of school, I am actively involved in Scouting, which has greatly aided the improvement of my communication and interpersonal skills.

Having achieved the top grades in all 10+ GCSE subjects only last year, I believe I am at a unique standpoint where I can easily build rapport with my students. As well as this, during my academic journey, I have developed strong organisational skills through efficiently planning and sticking to revision timetables which accommodated my numerous subjects and extracurricular activities.

As a tutor passionate about all things maths, I want to help students in KS2, KS3, and KS4 to realise their full potential in the subject, and help them develop the confidence needed for future exams. My secret formula, which will slowly reveal itself in my lessons, will help students excel and rise up beyond the limits of their current abilities.

Tutoring Experience

As part of the maths mentoring scheme at my school, I have tutored Year 8 students. They have benefitted from my clear explanations of concepts, as well as advice on how to approach multi-step problem solving questions.

Tutoring Approach

I endeavour to be a patient and considerate mentor who will clearly explain concepts to students and will explore different teaching methods and analogies to help them understand the content better. With online lessons, I will use Microsoft OneNote as a whiteboard, along with other digital strategies to effectively display my notes and communicate my explanations of concepts.
