I am a full-time teacher and part-time national newspaper journalist. I am friendly, empathetic and passionate about Language and Literature.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a qualified teacher for 10 years. The first four of these were in secondary education (11-16) and the past six teaching both English Literature and English Language at A Level (16-18).

Tutoring Approach

I am kind and patient in my teaching, adopting a 'growth mindsets' philosophy. Aside from the content, exam success in English Literature is often dependent on essay and exam technique and I will always do my best to make what is often opaque, transparent for all my students.
