Hello! I'm Tom, a passionate and experienced A-Level Psychology tutor dedicated to helping students excel in their studies. As a current, fully qualified psychology teacher, examiner and successful tutor, I offer personalised guidance tailored to each student's unique learning style and academic goals. My experience marking for the exam board gives my students the opportunity to master exam technique and maximise grades. Students often ask me to mark their practice papers and provide detailed feedback.

My approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into easily understandable parts, fostering a range of key skills, and providing practical strategies for exam success. Whether you're struggling with understanding theories, analysing research, or preparing for exams, I'm here to provide the support and expertise you need to thrive. I have found great success with students and continually reflect on my tutoring practices to improve outcomes for my students.

My rates are negotiable for block bookings and small group sessions.

Tutoring Approach

I take pride in my ability to help students make progress in the subject that I love. Psychology can be such an interesting and engaging topic and it is important that this is part of the learning experience.
I take a very personalised approach to teaching and tutoring, recognising that every student has different needs and I will start by listening and understanding the student at an individual level. I recommend 1-2 hours per week.

I like to focus more exam technique as this is where many students struggle, and my experience as an examiner is valuable. Weekly sessions also allow for boosting knowledge and understanding of the vast content.
I am confident in my ability to improve anyone's grade, or ensure that A/A* that many students will be aiming for.

I am happy to travel, I can cover Winchester, Ringwood, and the New Forest.
