I am a qualified and experienced GCSE English Language and Literature specialist with a BA (Hons) degree in English and History, an MA degree in English Literature and a PGCE teaching qualification. I have a genuine passion for helping students unlock their potential, whether they are aiming to secure top grades, build confidence in their writing, or develop a lifelong love of English. My expertise covers both GCSE English Language and Literature (especially following the AQA examination board), and I tailor my teaching to suit each learner's individual needs and goals. I believe in creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel confident to explore ideas and ask questions.

I have been teaching GCSE English Language and Literature for 10+ years and have worked with both young people and adults who want to achieve their potential. I am most familiar with AQA examination board, and have in-depth knowledge on all of the core texts studied at GCSE. Through my vast experience I can help you to achieve the best outcomes possible for you and have worked with learners of all abilities - from those who need extra support to high achieving students aiming for grades 8-9. My background includes teaching in diverse classroom settings, running focused intervention groups, and delivering one-to-one tuition. I have a thorough understanding of the curriculum requirements as well as proven strategies to help students approach exams with skill and confidence.
