I am an outgoing bubbly friendly person, who is patient and enthusiastic.
I have been teaching secondary maths for over 17 years.
I was Head of Maths for 3 years before choosing to retrain as a SENCo (special educational needs coordinator) I excel at teaching maths to SEN students. I strongly believe if you apply the SEN teaching ethos you can teach any student as all students benefit from these methods.
I have been an expert examiner for Edexcel for 10 years.
I have taught in an all through school from KS1 to KS4. So have experience across the key stages. I have participated in an NCTEM project for trsansition between primary & secondary mathematics.
I did tutoring on the school One to One Tuition programme for a number of years across KS2, KS3 & KS4.
I am a determined, caring and supportive teacher. I take pride in my achievements and always take a professional approach in all that I do. I try to build confidence and self-esteem, whilst at the same time challenge students to maximise their potential. I think it’s really important that students understand the why and each area broken down into easy to follow steps. We look at worded questions & identify the area of maths that it is using and look at a problem solving approach. I believe that everyone can succeed - and together I'm sure that we will!
