Victoria

Our daughter has a learning difficulty, which means she has been/is struggling at primary and secondary school with Maths in particular.

Although Victoria has only been tutoring our daughter for some weeks now, I believe we are starting to see some improvement in her knowledge on the things that Victoria has been working on. With continued support from Victoria, I’m confident our daughter will get to a practical level of maths knowledge that can support her later in life.

Victoria has also been very helpful in providing suggestions for different approaches at college in terms of Maths (e.g. applying for ‘Functional Skills’ course at college rafher than sticking with GCSE level Maths, which we were not aware of). I see that as ‘thinking outside the box’ and not just ‘sitting down with our daughter for the hour that is booked’. Thanks!

Based on all of that, I highly recommend Victoria as a maths tutor.

My daughter's confidence has improved hugely since she started working with Victoria. She no longer says 'I'm really bad at maths', but says instead 'I find X easy peasy but I haven't got my head around Y yet'. She enjoys going to her sessions which sound creative and varied and the feedback to me is always perceptive and informative. My other daughter is about to start too.

Victoria has been tutoring my daughter (R) for several months and we’ve seen that R has definitely grown in confidence towards maths. R has been making good progress and her attitude towards learning in the subject has improved a huge amount. Victoria’s lessons are actually enjoyable for R which is something that makes a major difference when a child is struggling with a subject. Victoria is also really helpful with giving feedback and willing to communicate with school teachers to give the best full support. It’s really nice to see that Victoria enjoys what she does and also that she’s genuinely caring for her students. For parents; Victoria has always been easy to get along with and communicate with. Would definitely recommend!
