Hi! I’m an experienced private tutor in maths, science, statistics and finance. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures and traditions. I am a pretty chilled-out, patient and easy-going individual. I work as a researcher / reader in cooperation with Brunel University London and the National Physical Laboratory and do a PhD in Bayesian statistics and machine learning ; I frequently work as a private tutor and frequently work very closely with teaching centres and colleges to support further advances in education.

Tutoring Experience

Since 2010, I have tutored over 150+ students face-to-face and online at various levels of math, statistics, finance, engineering, and physics, with many students receiving and exceeding their predicted grades. I effectively assisted students to get into top schools and universities, i.e. Eton College, Oxford University and Imperial College London (references accessible). I have experience teaching students from Brunel University London, Imperial College London, University of Westminster, Universidade de Lisboa, Institute & Faculties of Actuaries, BPP School of Business, Harrow School, Latymer Upper School, Eton College (includes prep exams) and Stanhope Primary School.

I have many years of experience with the following subjects:
- University courses in many math related modules (algebra, calculus, geometry, econometrics, statistics, etc.)
- A-Level Maths & Further Maths (old and new spec);
- KS3/GCSE/IGCSE Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Combined Sciences;
- Primary level;
- Mentoring (any subjects).

Tutoring Approach

• Identifying strengths & weaknesses with an overview test for new students I made based on the syllabus taught.
• Ensuring targets will be met (e.g. complete chapter X, section Y or problem Z).
• Working with examples first then attempting textbook problems.
• Using PowerPoint and online materials with work done via a graphics tablet.
• Attempting class tests based on progress made at key points.
• Solving exam papers to eliminate any weaknesses and maximize marks.
• Continuously report feedback to parents via preferred means of communication.
