Hello! I'm Zan, a BSc student in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Bath, helping younger students love STEM and its applications as much as I do through online 1-to-1 tutoring. The first lesson starts from just £4.49 - give me a try and see how we get on!
I achieved A*A*A in Maths, Computer Science, and Further Maths at A Level, being the only student in my cohort to achieve an A* in Computer Science with a coursework score of 96%. I also achieved seven A*s and two As at GCSE. For Further Maths A Level, I teach the Core Pure side only. For Computer Science, I teach the Python programming language.
Additionally, I scored 5.7 in the Test of Mathematics for University Admissions (TMUA) in 2024, a significant step toward achieving my lifelong goal of attending a top 10 university. I am eager to help other students reach their dream universities by supporting them at every stage of the process, from KS3 to GCSEs, the early Year 13 UCAS rush, and A Levels.
I have spent countless hours tutoring my peers over my academic career, and it is something I have thoroughly enjoyed. I have developed the ability to tailor my teaching to each student, accounting for their abilities and academic goals. I am very passionate about helping others reach their potential.
Whether you need support with exam preparation, building foundational knowledge, or advanced topics, I am here to help! With my qualifications and experience, I believe that I can help you achieve your goals and success in maths or computer science. Contact me today to learn more about my tutoring services.
I have taken voluntary teaching roles throughout my academic career, especially in secondary school and sixth form. I have been a private tutor for the past few months and have accumulated lots of positive feedback from numerous lessons, notably on the MyTutor platform.
My tutoring style is student-oriented and interactive. I tailor my support to each student's needs - I keep a log of their progress and use this to create a bespoke program that fits their needs.
During each lesson, it is a priority of mine to foster a positive, engaging, and enjoyable atmosphere to ensure a good rapport between me and the student. I ensure every lesson is tailored to each student's needs, working at the pace they find most comfortable. I use an extensive range of resources and teaching methods to keep my sessions interesting and relevant, including practice exercises, real-world examples (to answer the age-old question of "why do I need to know this?"), visual aids, and relevant proofs and connections to other areas in the subject area.
My objective is not just to educate, but to instil a love and appreciation for mathematics and computer science as disciplines. These are two of the most widely applicable subjects taught in schools, and this motivates me to make sessions that are engaging, relevant, and enjoyable.
