Information About Charlotte - Rathcoole tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Charlotte. I am currently in the process of completing my Masters of Education. I have a Bachelors degree in History and Anthropology, at Maynooth University. I have had a keen interest in History all the way up through school, which influenced my decision in continuing to study history into my third level education. I have full qualifications in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). I have Garda Vetting and have also been a special centre superintendent for the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate exams.

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently a student teacher, completing my Masters of Education at Maynooth University. I am also fully qualified in TEFL which has a been an aid in understanding what types of approach is suitable for all different types of learners. I have experience in all types of history, as well as thorough essay writing and historical source experience, through my continuous study of history throughout school through to my current degree with a specific interest in Irish history.

Approach to Grinds:

The first session would involve getting to know the student, how they feel about the subject and where they believe they are having trouble/need to improve/ need to revise. Based on this meeting, a plan will be created. This plan can be adapted at any time to aid the students needs (class test, class essay). The plan will be catered to the student individually in the aim to get them comfortable and help them develop confidence in the subject.
I would correct exam papers, essays and any other pieces for the course that the student would like to review, I would also work on the idea of time management in an exam, which is vital in helping the student get the most of their exam.
