Personal Description:
I’m a professional opera singer with recent and upcoming performances in the UK and France. In 2025, I made my debut as Rodolfo in La Bohème with Cardiff Cotswold Opera, and just finished performing Don José in Carmen with Gaudio Opera in France over the summer. Earlier this year, I also covered Spoletta in Tosca with Oxford Opera.
My vocal training spans over 15 years. I studied under David Kirby-Ashmore (2007–2022) and continue to work with renowned vocal coaches Peter Bronder and Joy Mammen. My approach is deeply influenced by the scientific vocal methodology of Frederick Husler and Yvonne Rodd-Marling, focused on the physical nature of the vocal instrument.
Tutoring Experience:
I currently teach three private singing students, each with different goals and levels of experience. The methodology works similar to how a personal trainer helps with gym guidance, providing me to knowledge to tailor lessons to individual needs, helping each singer build confidence, develop healthy technique, and grow musically.
In the past, I led group music sessions in special needs schools, where I focused on creating accessible and engaging musical experiences. This work helped me develop a flexible, inclusive approach and strengthened my ability to adapt to a wide range of learning styles and communication needs.
My teaching is grounded in over 15 years of intensive classical vocal training, and I aim to pass on both the technical tools and musical insight I’ve gained through professional study and performance.
Tutoring Approach:
My teaching is based on understanding and developing the physical muscular coordination of the voice. I use a method influenced by Husler and Rodd-Marling’s work, focused on strengthening the eight key muscle groups involved in natural vocal production. I aim to help students discover a healthy, resonant, and sustainable sound, tailored to their unique voice.
All lessons are 60 minutes long, allowing time to work both technically and musically, and to build lasting vocal habits. Whether you’re working on classical repertoire, audition preparation, or foundational technique, I provide structured, focused, and supportive guidance rooted in over 15 years of vocal training and performance experience.
