So far, I have had only a first lesson with Bethany, but I am delighted with her understanding of my requirements and suggestions as to how I can get used to playing my Viking-style 7.string Lyre, and begin to combine my soprano voice with it. It was important for me to find a female tutor, with an excellent singing voice and experience with folksongs, and harps, and Bethany was a perfect choice. She is well-organised with regard to arranging lesson times and Zoom links, and plans ahead to fit lessons in around her own gig/concert engagements. Also, she listens carefully to a pupil's explanation of aims, and can make great suggestions as to how to achieve these. I am looking forward to working with her.

Edmund is a wonderful teacher with a very patient manner and great teaching experience - he is very good at gauging the correct pace for my learning, and giving me helpful tips for when I'm practising at home. He has also very generously allowed me to borrow his high-quality viola while I get to grips with the instrument - it is clear from the way he teaches that music is a lifelong passion of his, that he enjoys passing on to others. Highly recommended!
