What an excellent choice for classical guitar tuition. Although I am in my 60s and probably round about Grade 5 - 6 level, in just a few lessons Sue has already started to improve my playing ability, despite the years of 'hacking' my way through playing and picking up bad habits. I am very impressed at her ability to notice the slightest mistakes in my playing in addition to all the obvious mistakes and in helping me to overcome difficulties I have in some areas of playing. I’ve had a number of guitar teachers over the many years that I have been playing and Gabriel is definitely one of the best. His knowledge of both the instrument and the industry is very impressive, I haven’t found anything, be it a musical style or performance technique, that he isn’t able to teach and demonstrate expertly. I really have tested him with topics ranging from classical through to shred, music theory to stage performance, and picked his brains over things that would stretch even the best of musicians but he takes it in his stride. I can tell that he has many years of experience as a working musician and he adds that to his deep understanding of the instrument and theory, it shows in his teaching. He teaching style is very relaxed and easy to get along with but he seems to have developed many different strategies to get the best out of you while keeping it fun and relevant. I would definitely recommend Gabriel to anyone from beginner to advanced, I am already planning my next batch of lessons with him once I’ve fully digested all that we’ve covered to date.

Tom has reinvigorated my daughters’ enthusiasm for her guitar and in particular the understanding that grades can be beneficial from both an extension to learning and proof of your skill perspective. His approach is very pupil orientated letting them take charge of the direction with Tom providing the guiding hand along with the skills and know how. He has a varied tool box and has brought a new direction to my daughters playing which has provided some rapid results. In short there has been a complete turn around in her attitude and enthusiasm which is all attributed to getting the right tutor – Tom. As a working musician he carries credibility as he makes a living from playing and translates this breadth of knowledge and experience in to coaching very well.
